Obituaries : Lucille M. Gragg; Accountant, Lifelong Resident
Lucille M. Gragg of Ventura, a lifelong resident of Ventura County and a descendant of the pioneer Chaffee family, died Tuesday in a Ventura hospital following a brief illness. She was 76.
Gragg was born June 6, 1920, in Ventura to Clarence and Martha Chaffee. The Chaffee family settled in Ventura in 1863. Her grandfather, W. S. Chaffee Jr., operated the Ventura Wharf and Warehouse Co.
Gragg was an accountant with John M. Weaver & Co in Ventura. She started working at the firm in June 1956, when it was known as Jacobs & Jacobs Accounting, and continued working until early this year.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bill; daughter Jeannie Nasalroad of Ojai; sister Ruth Kennedy of Ventura; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Gragg was preceded in death by her sister, Lillian Cudahay.
Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura, with the Rev. Jim Wells officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura.
