‘Country Heaven’ Is Conejo Days Theme
Conejo Valley Days organizers have announced that the theme of next year’s celebration will be “Country Heaven in ’97.”
Thousand Oaks resident Dick Elliott submitted the winning theme, which will be emblazoned on badges, belt buckles, banners and other memorabilia.
Elliott’s theme will also be used in advertising for the annual event, which is held in Thousand Oaks in late April. He will receive a Conejo Valley Days commemorative belt buckle and have $100 donated to the charity of his choice for submitting the winning entry, and he will also ride in next year’s Conejo Valley Days parade.
Artists are being sought by the Conejo Valley Days Committee to design a logo based on the “Country Heaven in ‘97” theme. The designer of the winning logo will receive a $200 cash prize.
For information about dimensions, materials and other requirements for submitting a logo design to the Conejo Valley Days Committee, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Conejo Valley Days, P.O. Box 4589, Thousand Oaks 91359-1589.
Finished, camera-ready submissions must be mailed to the above address by New Year’s Day to be considered.
