Positions Available in Recreation District
The Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District is looking for a few good umpires, scorekeepers and dance instructors.
According to Oak Park Supervisor Dennis Anderson, the openings are in the Oak Park/Agoura area and are part of the normal turnover for the part-time jobs.
The umpire and scorekeeper positions are for the Oak Park Adult Softball League, which runs year-round with games played Monday through Friday nights.
Umpires get $15 to $18 a game, and scorekeepers are paid $5 to $6 an hour.
The dance instructors are needed to teach jazz and ballet to elementary school-age children for a percentage of the enrollment fees. Anderson said that classes, on average, have 10 students each.
