VitalCom Sees Quarterly Loss After Revenue Drop
TUSTIN — VitalCom Inc. said it expects to report a loss and sharply lower revenue for the fourth quarter.
The company, which makes communications networks for the health-care industry, estimated that revenue for the fourth quarter will total about $3.4 million, down from $8.1 million a year ago.
VitalCom, which announced a management shake-up and employee layoffs in November, did not provide a specific estimate of its losses for the three months. A year ago, the company earned $697,000. The company had said previously that its hospital customers were taking longer than anticipated to place larger orders, which delayed sales.
The stock slipped 37.5 cents Tuesday to $4.50 per share in Nasdaq trading.
