Shaquille O’Neal, an all-star starter each of his first four seasons while playing in the Eastern Conference, continued to trail Houston’s Hakeem Olajuwon in the voting for the West.

“It doesn’t matter,” said O’Neal, who will be picked by the coaches as a reserve if not by the fans as a starter. “I’m just glad to be there.”
