Van Nuys Gives Friery New Job
Van Nuys High has hired Jim Friery as athletic director, Assistant Principal Jack Molina said Thursday.
Friery replaces Steve Kalan, who was reassigned.
Friery has been a physical education teacher at Van Nuys for six years and was the Wolves’ baseball coach in 1994 and 1995.
He resigned after compiling a 15-38 record, often complaining that his team had to play home games at a park.
