3 Teens Arrested After Woman Is Bound and Robbed in Home
FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Three 17-year-olds were in custody Tuesday after allegedly invading a local home, attacking and binding a female resident with electrical tape and making off with jewelry, a cellular phone and other items.
The two girls and boy were being held Tuesday night at an Orange County juvenile hall on suspicion of residential robbery and conspiracy after allegedly bursting into a home in the 16300 block of Rosewood Street.
The victim said the male suspect knocked on her door at 1 p.m. and asked to use a phone, and his companions rushed in after he gained entry, according to Fountain Valley Police Sgt. Dann Bean.
The 19-year-old female resident, who was not identified, was knocked to her kitchen floor before tape was wrapped around her arms, mouth and eyes, Bean said. The victim was not seriously injured.
The intruders ransacked the home for 15 minutes, taking various items, including a ring from the victim’s finger, Bean said.
Investigators, following unspecified leads, later arrested a Huntington Beach girl in connection with the crime.
Later in the day, investigators arrested the other two suspects, both residents of Orange.
