Clipper update--Forward Rodney Rogers, who sat out Wednesday night’s three-point victory at Vancouver because of a broken nose, has been fitted with a protective mask after undergoing plastic surgery, and could play tonight. The Clippers have won three in a row and four of six. Forward Loy Vaught had 21 points and 14 rebounds as the Clippers beat the Raptors by seven points at Toronto on Jan. 7.
Raptor update--They have split the first six games of a seven-game, 12-day trip. A 118-114 loss to Utah on Thursday ended their first-ever road winning streak at two. Guard Damon Stoudamire is averaging 19.7 points and 8.6 assists. Former Laker guard Doug Christie is averaging 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists.
