Dream
Last night I, too, had a dream. I dreamed that we made sure that every child in our country was given a good basic education to the best of his ability to learn, and that from the day he could understand, with his efforts to do his best, he was assured of a good future, a long, successful, satisfying life. Also, if he proved capable of higher education to further improve his status, he would have it.
Oddly, in my dream I skipped forward several years and found that we had no gangs, less crime, fewer dope addicts and instead of needing more prisons, we were trying to decide what to do with the empty ones. Also, to my surprise, we didn’t have to be taxed as high and our standard of living improved. Unfortunately, I awoke and said to myself, “Nah, just another dream.”
