At the film studio, Wolfson publicized such films as “South Pacific” and “Island in the Sun.” Her long tenure at 20th Century Fox was interrupted in 1962 when she was fired over the flurry of bad publicity surrounding Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton during the making of “Cleopatra.” Wolfson worked briefly at the Frank Perrett publicity office and on the MGM publicity staff, where she was assigned to accompany actress Dolores Hart on a national publicity tour. But 20th Century Fox subsequently rehired her. Wolfson was particularly known in Hollywood for her lengthy and detailed biographies of the stars of films on which she worked.
