In “Dog’s Best Friend” (Family Channel, Sunday at 7 p.m.), a boy’s sudden ability to talk with animals allows him to save his grandparents’ farm from foreclosure. Adam Zolotin plays 12-year-old Wiley Thompson, and Shirley Jones, Richard Mulligan and comedian Bobcat Goldthwait also star in the comedy. The voices of the animals include Edward Asner, Meredith Baxter, James Belushi and Valerie Harper. The movie repeats Wednesday at 8 p.m. For the family.

Feuding neighbors pose as a happy family in Picture Perfect (Disney Channel, Thursday at 7 p.m.) to try to win a house, college tuition for their children and cash. The bogus family is named a finalist and the contest sponsor moves in to observe the family in action. For the family.
Peter Rabbit gets into lots of trouble in “The World of Peter Rabbit and Friends,” an animated Easter special (CBS, Thursday at 8 p.m.). Two of author Beatrix Potter’s classic stories are featured: “The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny” and “The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies and Mrs. Tittlemouse.” For ages 2 to 5.

The Animated Hero Classics (HBO, Saturday at 8:30 a.m.), which tells stories of historical figures, looks at Christopher Columbus and his accomplishments. For ages 7 to 14.
