July Robbery Suspect Arrested at Border
A man suspected of robbing a Bank of America in Santa Ana in July was arrested Tuesday at the Mexican border.
Several days after the bank robbery, Richard Arlen Caylor Jr., 44, was arrested in Tijuana on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon. He has been in the La Mesa Penitentiary since then, said FBI spokesman Grant Ashley.
On Tuesday, FBI agents took custody of him at the border.
He is suspected of robbing the bank at 3730 S. Bristol St. on July 12, Ashley said.
“Evidence at the scene implicated Caylor with the robbery,” he said.
Caylor will be transported to Santa Ana for a court appearance.
