Man Kills Wife’s Divorce Lawyer, Self
TUSTIN — A man apparently “on the losing half” of a divorce case shot and killed his wife’s attorney Tuesday in the lawyer’s office and then shot himself to death, police said.
Police said the man, whose name was not immediately released, walked into the office of Ronald W. Weiss, 56, of Laguna Hills, about 5:30 p.m. and briefly confronted him. The man pulled a handgun and fired repeatedly, hitting Weiss several times, before turning the gun on himself, Lt. Mike Shanahan said.
Shanahan said police believe the gunman was “on the losing half of a court battle” with his wife.
