* More than 50 singers from Reseda’s Kirk O’ the Valley Presbyterian Church, Burbank’s American Lutheran Church, Reseda’s Valley Outreach Synagogue Choir and a 13-piece chamber orchestra will perform Gabriel Faure’s “Requiem” at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the American Lutheran Church, 755 N. * A special musical program titled “The Children of Kovno,” composed by Dr. Jerome Margolis, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Tempel Beth Hillel, 12326 Riverside Drive, Valley Village. POPULAR MUSICIAN TO PERFORM: Contemporary Christian artist Mandie Pinto, who performs regularly at the Crystal Cathedral, will make a special appearance at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Reseda Baptist Church Auditorium, 18644 Sherman Way, Reseda. NEW PASTOR INSTALLED: Pastor Jeffrey Nelson will be installed as pastor of Christ the King Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Sunday. Nelson, a graduate of Cal State University Fresno and the Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa, has served as pastor of several congregations in Wisconsin during the past 12 years. He was asked to join the growing congregation of Christ the King Lutheran Church last February. Bishop Paul Egerton will deliver the sermon and preside at the installation. FAITH AND GOD: A free community forum titled “What My Faith Tells Me About God” will be presented by the Santa Clarita Valley Interfaith Council. John Dart, Los Angeles Times Valley Edition reporter who has reported on religion for 30 years, will moderate. Four local religious leaders will represent major religions and answer questions from the audience.
