Jacquelin Thompson Sipple; Dancer, Choreographer

Jacquelin Thompson Sipple, 66, versatile dancer and director in the Whittier and La Mirada areas. Born in Mishiwaka, Ind., Sipple attended St. Mary’s College in South Bend, Ind. After teaching dance in Chicago and Cleveland, she moved to Southern California, where she became active in the Whittier Art and Light Opera Assn. She danced in such shows as “Brigadoon” and “Can-Can” and choreographed others including “Bloomer Girl,” “The Sound of Music” and “Bye Bye Birdie.” When Sipple was first vice president of the association, she directed and co-wrote “Bohemian Nights.” For the past decade, Sipple had served as director and senior child care teacher at La Pluma Child Care Center for the city of La Mirada. On Sunday in Placentia.
