Howard S. Goldin; Former Superior Court Judge
Howard S. Goldin, 76, former Los Angeles County Superior Court judge. After growing up in California, Goldin earned a law degree from USC, where he was editor in chief of the Law Review. Joining the state prosecutor’s office, he spent several years as an assistant attorney general. He concentrated his work on the legal control of and other issues about state tidelands, which included those in the Long Beach area. Goldin was appointed to the Los Angeles Municipal Court in 1964, and elevated to the higher court by Gov. Edmund G. “Jerry” Brown Jr. in 1976. On Tuesday in Encino.
