3 Bodies Exhumed From Mass Grave

Forensic scientists have unearthed three bodies in a mass grave of suspected execution victims in San Andres Sajcabaja, an isolated central mountain town. Residents say that from 1980 to 1982, during the country’s 35-year civil war, the army executed between 250 and 500 civilians in the town. The army said it would not make a comment on the affair until a formal complaint was filed.
