Chamber Director Is OCC Citizen of Year
Chamber of Commerce Director Ed Fawcett was named Orange Coast College’s Citizen of the Year on Friday for his work building relationships between businesses and students.
Fawcett, who lives in Tustin, has been president of the 570-member chamber for five years.
He was recognized for his role in a recent partnership created between the college, Estancia and Costa Mesa high schools and Balboa Instruments, a manufacturer of electronic controls used in spas. Students worked for the business in various departments, earning school credit.
Fawcett’s efforts were recognized at the college’s 49th commencement.
