Talent Night Planned at Pierce

A Youth Heritage and Talent Night at Pierce College tonight will celebrate the ethnic diversity and cultural heritage of the San Fernando Valley’s Asian and Pacific Islander community.

Youths of all ages will present cultural and contemporary performances such as tap dancing, Filipino folk dance, Chinese flute performance, martial arts and skits.

The annual event will run from 7 to 9 p.m. at the college’s Campus Center, 6201 Winnetka Ave., Woodland Hills.

The event is sponsored by the Asian & Pacific Islander Council of the San Fernando Valley, a nonprofit coalition of community organizations and social service providers that promote the social, cultural and civic interests of the Valley’s Asian and Pacific Islander community.

Admission is $15, with proceeds benefiting the leadership development service for Asian and Pacific Islander youths.
