A Writer Who Knows His Work’s Place
In the article “In Hollywood, Ever Bigger Is Better” (Calendar, June 2), I was quoted referring to the films “Jurassic Park” and “The Lost World,” for which I wrote the screenplays, as “two of the best movies ever made.”
What I actually said was I thought they were “two of the best B-movies ever made,” a small but important distinction that stops short of total egomania. I am proud of the movies, but I’m not deluded.
