Saddleback Student Elected to Board
Rick Travis, a Saddleback College student, has been sworn in as the student member of Board of Trustees for the South Orange County Community College District.
Travis, 34, was elected by the students at Irvine Valley and Saddleback colleges. Travis will attend board meetings and participate in discussions. He may make and second motions but cast only advisory votes on agenda items.
Travis has been president of the Associated Student Government at Saddleback College, president of college’s Lambda Alpha Delta honor society chapter and opinion editor of the Lariat, the campus newspaper.
His term on the board expires in May 1998.
