County Aging Panel Invites Applicants
A county agency focusing on elderly issues is seeking applicants for its 19-member advisory council.
Concentrating on causes such as stemming elderly abuse and improving transportation for seniors, the Ventura County Agency on Aging is seeking residents 60 and older to serve as liaisons between the organization and elderly citizens in the community.
The agency is looking for a mix of people for positions as alternates or members of the council: a disabled person, a service provider and residents to reflect the county’s racial, economic and social makeup.
Applications are available from the agency office at 505 Poli St. in Ventura, or by calling (805) 652-7560. Applications must be submitted no later than June 20.
The Ventura County Board of Supervisors will make appointments to the council by July 1.
