Leal’s Two Goals Give Zodiac Victory

The Zodiac continued its winning streak by beating the El Paso Patriots, 2-1, on two goals by Gustavo Leal in A-League soccer Friday night in El Paso.

With the score tied going into the second half, Leal scored the game-winner on an unassisted goal at the 61-minute mark. He scored the Zodiac’s first goal nine minutes into the game.

The Patriots’ Ledcyr Dallastra tied the score late in the first half.

The victory is the Zodiac’s fourth in a row. The Patriots, who have lost three games to the Zodiac (5-4) this season, drop to 3-11.

Goalkeeper Marco Cerna had seven saves for the Zodiac, who play Sunday night against the Colorado Foxes in Denver.
