Market Garden in Our Own Backyard

It was interesting to read that a revolution was taking place in Goleta way to the north of Los Angeles (June 9, “Throwback Farm Thrives in Suburbia.”)

There is a market garden in Simi Valley where seasonal produce is grown. It can be found on Tapo Canyon Road directly opposite City Hall. It covers some 160 acres, compared to 100 acres in Goleta. It is not a new or revolutionary project, but an old-fashioned farming business that has been established for many years.

The Times should blow our own trumpet and not someone else’s.
