NBC Names Two Execs to Replace Agoglia
NBC has decided it takes two people to fill the shoes of exiting NBC Enterprises President John Agoglia. The network promoted Harold Brooks to executive vice president for business affairs for NBC and NBC Studios and Jerry Petry as executive vice president for NBC Enterprises.
Agoglia resigned this week after 18 years at the network, where he most recently oversaw the in-house NBC Studios production arm; network business affairs; and foreign and domestic program co-ventures, distribution and syndication. He was NBC’s key deal maker and helped the network acquire rights to broadcast such films as “Jurassic Park” and “Schindler’s List.”
Brooks, who has been senior vice president of business affairs and business affairs administration, will oversee business affairs for both NBC and its in-house production arm, including programming and development.
Petry, formerly senior vice president of finance and business operations at NBC West Coast, will oversee the global distribution of NBC-owned programming. Petry will also be responsible for NBC Studios’ production, finance and business operations. Both report to Don Ohlmeyer, president of NBC West Coast.
