Get to Gate Earlier to Hold United Seats
As of this month, United Airlines passengers on domestic flights must arrive at the gate 20 minutes, rather than 10 minutes, before departure time to retain their pre-assigned seat. Later boarding is still possible if they have reservations, providing any seats are still available, a United spokeswoman said.
