Arts Group Seeks Award Nomination
Long Beach’s arts council, the Public Corp. for the Arts is accepting, through Friday, nominations for its 1997 Distinguished Arts Awards.
The annual honors recognize long-standing contributions and leadership in the Long Beach arts community. Awards categories include visual artist. performing artist, business support of the arts, philanthropist, volunteer, arts administrator, arts educator, arts critic and community arts.
Award winners will be selected in late August and will be honored Oct. 20 at the Long Beach Museum of Art.
