Shingleton Heads Base Reuse Group
Assistant City Manager Christine Shingleton has been elected president of the National Assn. of Installation Developers, the leading organization of professionals involved in the conversion of military property to civilian use.
The organization, founded in 1976, works with federal agencies, local governments, community leaders and private businesses involved in the conversion of military property.
Shingleton, considered a leading expert in that field, is directing the redevelopment of Tustin Marine Corps Helicopter Air Station, scheduled to close in 1999.
Shingleton has been on the association’s board of directors since 1995.
