Two ‘Rent’ Benefits Set in September
Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks, Kelly Preston and John Travolta are the honorary co-chairs of a “Bohemian Life Party” and benefit performance of the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning musical “Rent” on Sept. 19 at the Music Center’s Ahmanson Theatre.
The event, which will include a post-performance party on the Music Center Plaza, will help fund new play development by the Center Theatre Group.
Tickets to the benefit, which begins with a 6 p.m. champagne reception followed by the 7:30 p.m. performance, are $500, available through (213) 469-3255.
Another benefit performance of “Rent,” supporting the Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team, will be held Sept. 20 at 2 p.m.
