Huntington Beach’s Thomas Takes Second

Chet Thomas of Huntington Beach placed second in the men’s skateboarding street competition Saturday in the ESPN’s B3 event in Seal Beach.

Andy McDonald, who took first, edged Thomas in points, 86.6 to 86.3.

In the men’s in-line skating street competition, Jake Elliott placed third with a score of 72.6. Dion Anthony (77.4) from Australia won the event and Josh Petty of San Diego (72.8) took third.

Laura Lee Connery of Seal Beach placed fourth in the women’s in-line skating vert (half pipe) competition with a score of 34.8. Winner Fabiola Sinoes da Silva of Sao Paulo, Brazil, won the event with a score of 59.8.
