Landell Pupils Will Get the Tech Scoop
Four Landell Elementary School students will become TV reporters and video photographers next week as they cover the Winter Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The school was chosen by Panasonic’s parent company, Matsushita Electric Corp. of America, to participate in its national Kid Witness News Program. Since 1989, the company has provided schools nationwide with video equipment.
The Cypress fifth- and sixth-graders will be in Las Vegas Jan. 8 to 11 to produce a 5- to 10-minute news package on the largest consumer electronics trade show of the year, said Julie Gautreau, the student’s coordinator.
Their final product will be shown back at school and entered in Panasonic’s national video competition.
