Kariya Fourth Among Wingers
Paul Kariya finished fourth among wingers in fan balloting for the North American team that will face the World team in the NHL All-Star Game Jan. 18 at Vancouver.
Kariya finished behind starters John LeClair of Philadelphia and Brendan Shanahan of Detroit and third-place vote-getter Brett Hull of St. Louis.

Enforcer Brent Severyn, sidelined since Oct. 25 because of a herniated disk in his back, underwent a bone scan Tuesday and an MRI exam Monday. Both were negative and he could soon return from the injured reserve list.

Defenseman Jason Marshall missed his fifth consecutive game because of a separated shoulder. He participated in the Ducks’ morning skate.
