Apple Stock Drops to 12-Year Low
(Reuters)
Shares of Apple Computer Inc. slid to a new 12-year low as investors continued to fret over erosion of the struggling computer maker’s market share and a key clone maker’s plans to start shipping PC compatibles, analysts said. Apple shares declined 12.5 cents to $13.06 in Nasdaq trading, the second straight 12-year low for the shares. Cupertino-based Apple has fallen on hard times, with its share of the personal computing market falling. Apple executives were not immediately available for comment.
