PairGain Income Rises
TUSTIN — PairGain Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of telecommunications systems, said net income for the second quarter rose 60% to $11.7 million, or 16 cents a share, from $7.3 million, or 10 cents a share, for the like period last year. Revenue advanced 41% to $66.4 million from $47.2 million.
Net income for the first six months totaled $23.1 million, or 31 cents a share, including expenses of $2.6 million related to the acquisition in February of Avidia Systems. Net income for the first half of 1996 was $13.5 million, or 19 cents a share. Revenue was up 56% to $137.1 million from $87.8 million.
