Rodriguez Pitches In for Camarillo
John Rodriguez, pitching for the first time this season, survived a four-run first inning by Newbury Park to help Camarillo B to a 14-5 victory in a District 16 game Thursday at Newbury Park High.
Rodriguez stuck out four and walked two in 6 1/3 innings, and Eric Foster was four for four with four runs batted in for Camarillo B (9-14).
Ryan Ayers had a three-run home run in the first inning for Newbury Park.
Westlake 2, Moorpark 1--Jonathan Shepard’s single scored Doug Hutton from third base in the bottom of the seventh inning for Westlake in a District 16 game at Moorpark High.
Nate Liberman (3-2) pitched a six-hitter and struck out four for Westlake.
