Passenger Hurt by Rock Thrown at Car
A 50-year-old Ventura man suffered minor injuries when a rock thrown through a car window struck him in the chest.
William Baird suffered bruises in the incident, which occurred about 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Wells Road and Nardo Street, said Officer Dave Cockrill, a California Highway Patrol spokesman.
Baird was riding in the passenger’s seat of a car driven by Arthur Sharf, 71, of Ojai, Cockrill said.
There were no witnesses, Cockrill said. There have been no reports of similar incidents in the area in recent memory, he added.
