Three D Loses $1.7 Million
COSTA MESA — Three D Departments Inc. said it lost $1.7 million, or 69 cents a share, for the fiscal year, compared with a loss of $975,000, or 40 cents a share, for the previous year. Sales for the year ended Aug. 2 fell to $44.2 million from $47.9 million.
The operator of a chain of home textile and housewares stores attributed the sales decline primarily to the closure of six stores during the fiscal year.
Three D posted a fourth-quarter loss of $802,000, or 33 cents a share, compared with a loss of $949,000, or 39 cents a share, for the same quarter a year ago. Sales fell to $10.2 million from $11.4 million.
