The aliens from “3rd Rock From the Sun” live in Ohio. “Seinfeld” and his pals live in New York, not too far from the cops of “Brooklyn South.” And the losers on “Men Behaving Badly” bum around Indianapolis. Soaking Dr. Quinn

Rains from El Nino could disrupt a lot of things--including “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman,” which films at Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills, above. About half of the shooting takes place outside, said producer John Liberti. East Meets West

The ABC drama “Nothing Sacred” is set in the Northeast--but is filmed in the West Valley. A sound stage in Canoga Park contains the cathedral and parish offices for Father Ray (Kevin Anderson). Why not have Father Ray’s parish be in Los Angeles? “Those of us who live here tire of L.A. as a location because it’s been used so much,” said executive producer David Manson.
