Cancer Survivors Take Place on Wall of Hope
Breast cancer survivors who came to a Long Beach hospital Monday skipped the doctors’ offices and headed straight for the bright lights of the makeup room.
Wearing gowns and with their hair done up, they posed for glamour portraits that will go on the Wall of Hope, a traveling exhibit intended to raise public awareness of breast cancer and tell the stories of women who have survived.
Thus far, 613 women have had their pictures taken for the wall. Information: (916) 753-5229.
