Moorpark 116, San Diego Mesa 95--Charles Dixon had 26 points and Ceneka Shaw added 18 for Moorpark (1-0) in the Cerro Coso tournament.

Salt Lake City 68, Valley 58--Gianandrea Marcaccini scored 14 points, Pierre Elize had 13 points and 14 rebounds and reserve center Faheem Nelson scored 10 points but the Monarchs fell in the Mt. San Antonio tournament.

Canyons 81, Santa Ana 74--Bryan Finley had 26 points and Woodley Polynice added 21 for the Cougars at Santa Ana.

The Master’s 94, Northwest College 72--Joey Penberthy had 28 points and Jerome Joseph added 20 points and six assists for the Mustangs (2-0) in the Master’s tournament.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

Moorpark d. Ventura, 16-14, 15-7, 15-12--Carrie Swartz had 20 kills and 10 digs and Michell Capuano had 14 kills and four aces for the Raiders (14-2, 11-1) in a Western State Conference match at Moorpark. Jolene Small had 14 kills and setter Shelly Payne had 50 assists for Moorpark.

Pepperdine d. Portland, 15-9, 15-8, 15-5--Nicole Sanderson had 15 kills and five blocks for the Waves (21-3, 10-2) in a West Coast Conference match at Pepperdine. Karen Benkovsky had 11 kills for Pepperdine.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

Glendale 5, Hancock 0--Erin Cola and Claudia Alvarez each scored twice and Sandy Salas once for the Vaqueros (8-10-2, 5-9-2) in a WSC game at Glendale.

Glendale is 10-26-4 in the program’s two-year history.
