San Bernardino Valley 21, Antelope Valley 20--The Marauders squandered a 17-0 second-quarter lead and the Indians clinched their sixth Foothill Conference title of the decade at San Bernardino.
Brad Norris connected with Ronnie Blair on touchdown passes of eight and five yards to give Antelope Valley (6-3, 5-2) a 14-0 first-quarter lead. Matt Horner increased the lead with a 23-yard field goal five seconds into the second quarter. He added a 27-yard field goal late in the third quarter to pull the Marauders to within 21-20.
Lafayette Bailey, who was averaging 120 yards rushing, was limited to 75 yards in 18 carries. The Marauders managed only 84 yards rushing and 145 total.
Backup quarterback Rollie Dykstra of San Bernardino passed for 181 of his 200 yards and three touchdowns in the second quarter.
San Bernardino (7-2, 6-1) was ranked 11th in the state. Antelope Valley was 12th.
