* What: Girls’ state high school volleyball quarterfinals.
* When: Saturday, 7 p.m.
* Where: Various sites.
* At stake: Berths in the Southern California regional championships Tuesday. Regional winners will play final matches against Northern California champions Dec. 6 at Cypress College.
* 1996 champions: Division I--Bakersfield Centennial; II--Huntington Beach; III--Torrance Bishop Montgomery; IV--Linden; V--Atherton Sacred Heart Prep.
