Micro Therapeutics Inc.: The San Clemente developer of devices for the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases said it lost $1.7 million, or 26 cents a share, for the third quarter, compared with a net loss of $1.6 million, or 47 cents a share, for the 1996 third quarter. Sales rose 77% to $727,475 from $411,536. For the nine-month period, the net loss was $5.4 million, or 87 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $3.9 million, or $1.16 a share, for the first three quarters of 1996. Sales advanced 94% to $1.9 million from $968,990.
