Housing Workers May Relocate to City Hall
After more than 10 years of working outside City Hall, Housing Department employees are expected to move into city headquarters by January.
The City Council on Monday will consider a $516,000 construction contract to renovate the second and third floors of City Hall for the Housing Department. The space was occupied by the city’s Police Department, which has moved into new headquarters.
The move would affect about 35 Housing Department employees who have been working from offices at 500 W. Santa Ana Blvd., within walking distance of City Hall, said Cindy Nelson, executive director of community development. Information: (714) 647-6520.
