New Director Named for College Foundation
Kent Gibson has been named executive director of the California State University Dominguez Hills Foundation, campus officials said.
Gibson replaced Wanda Hill, who left as part of an administrative shake-up initiated by President Robert Detweiler.
As head of the foundation, Gibson is responsible for the promotion, development and management of programs involving research, educational activities and other scholarly work sponsored by governmental agencies, foundations, private corporations and other organizations.
The foundation is also responsible for management of the Olympic Velodrome, the University Bookstore, campus dining services, catering and vending services.
Gibson, 52, was executive director of the San Jose State University Foundation from 1991 to 1997 before coming to Cal State Dominguez Hills.
