Hey, Trumpy: Don’t Show Your Face on Westside

Bob Trumpy’s comments about USC being the only football school in town were not only inappropriate, but inaccurate. Last time I checked, UCLA was ranked 13th, was on a five-game winning streak, and has owned the city series against the Trojans for the last six years. USC, on the other hand, has struggled to reach .500 and barely edged out a mediocre Notre Dame that looks like it belongs in Division II.

Half of Los Angeles is indeed offended. Mr. Trumpy, if you must hold on to your tragic East Coast myopia, please refrain from making comments about schools you obviously know nothing about. It’s obvious that the caliber of sportscasters for the Notre Dame Broadcasting Corp. is in the basement, right next to the team they worship.
