Murphy 27, St. Genevieve 13--Eliel Garcia completed 10 of 18 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns for the Valiants (1-6, 1-3) at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
St. Genevieve could not stop Murphy’s running attack. Gerald Moore rushed for 118 yards in four carries, scoring on runs of 31 and 40 yards for the Nobles (1-6, 1-3).
Chris Merrin caught six passes for 109 yards for the Valiants, including a 17-yard touchdown pass late in the first half to make the score 14-7.
Mike Sigori had a four-yard touchdown reception for St. Genevieve late in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 20-13.
