State of the Arts
State Sen. Adam Schiff, (D-Burbank), chair of the Legislature’s Joint Committee on the Arts, will hold an interim hearing on “The State of the Arts in California” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Burbank City Hall. Speakers will include James L. Loper, executive director of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in North Hollywood, and other representatives of the arts community. The event is open to the public.
