Groups Plan Food and Clothing Drive
Several of Orange County’s largest nonprofit groups have organized a food and clothing drive, “Scouting for Food Plus 1997,” Nov. 8 through Nov. 15.
On Nov. 8, Boy Scouts will be distributing bags to the doorsteps of households throughout the county. The charity groups are encouraging residents to fill the bags with nonperishable food items and clothing.
One week later, Nov. 15, the Scouts will return to pick up the bags.
The organizations involved are the Boy Scouts of America, Orange County Council; Goodwill Industries of Orange County; Second Harvest Food Bank, and Walking Shield American Indian Society.
