Judge Gags Lawyers in Clinton Sex Case
A judge issued a gag order in the sexual-harassment suit brought against President Clinton by Paula Corbin Jones, directing attorneys for both sides to stop discussing the case outside the courtroom. U.S. District Judge Susan Webber Wright also ordered that all filings in the case be placed under seal. “The court has determined, and counsel for all parties agree, that the interest in an impartial jury and a fair trial greatly outweigh any public interest in access to pretrial information and proceedings in this matter,” she said in an order entered in federal court at Little Rock, Ark.
